Children and teens often struggle to make sense of overwhelming feelings, changes in their environment, or challenges at school and home.
Therapy offers them a safe, supportive space to be seen and heard without pressure, without judgment, and entirely at their own pace.
Sessions are tailored to meet each young person where they are, in a way that feels natural and age-appropriate for them.
Young people don’t always have the words for what they’re carrying, and that’s not just totally okay, but expected.
Through conversation, play, creativity, and skill-building, therapy creates room for children and teens to explore their inner world in ways that feel accessible and safe.
And the goal of our sessions isn’t to fix or redirect, but rather to help them better understand themselves, build confidence in who they are, and develop the emotional tools they’ll carry with them long after sessions end.
I work with children and teens navigating a wide range of experiences that might include anxiety, stress, and the particular pressure of school, social media and their social lives as a whole; low self-esteem, self-doubt, or questions of identity; family transitions like divorce, grief, or adjusting to a blended family.
Sessions are affirming, strengths-based, and shaped around each young person’s needs, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Parents and caregivers play an important role in this work too.
Depending on the child’s age and needs, I may involve caregivers in parts of the process to ensure the support extends beyond the therapy room and into everyday life while always keeping in mind that the young person’s comfort and trust always come first.
Inside every young heart is a quiet universe waiting to be named, felt, and understood.
